Considered an “icebox” watermelon, Sugar Baby Watermelons grow small and sweet. The plant is unique in that the vines only grow to 3 ½ to 4 feet long, creating more of a bush appearance than a traditional vining appearance. This fruit has a dark green exterior and a bright red interior. Packed full of antioxidants and flavor, this watermelon is deliciously nutritious!

For cool climate gardeners, sow indoors in peat pots 1 month before transplanting outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost. For warm climates, direct sow outside when the soil temperature has warmed up to 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit; direct sow into 6-8” tall mounds of soil. Ideal germination temperature is 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit (grow at 75 degrees Fahrenheit after seeds germinate indoors).
