Tarragon can grow up to 5 feet tall and about 1 foot wide. The Russian Tarragon variety is said to be more aromatic but milder in flavor than French Tarragon. Tarragon has been used in a wide variety of applications including herbal medicines, cosmetics, floral arrangements, and salad dressings!

Transplanting is recommended for these seeds. Optimal germination temperature is 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Surface sow seeds indoors 6-10 weeks (April-May) before the last frost date. The seeds are light germinators, so it’s important to not cover the seeds. Keep moist until germination. Transplant after your last frost date into well-draining sandy soil. Alternatively, sow into pots in your greenhouse anytime from late winter to early summer.
