400+ ‘Red Acre’ Cabbage Seeds

Brassica oleracea

Non-GMO, Heirloom, Open Pollinated

Red Acre is well renowned as an early-maturing, red cabbage, producing deep red-purple heads. The heads grow to be 7” in diameter and weigh about 3 pounds. This variety is resistant to cabbage yellowing. Great raw, stir-fried or in coleslaw!

Seeds will germinate best if the soil is at least 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Sow indoors 8-12 weeks before the last frost and transplant into your garden 2-4 weeks before the last frost. Alternatively, direct sow the seeds of this cool season crop into your garden when the temperatures are above 50 (and below 85) degrees Fahrenheit, in the early spring or late summer/early fall, making sure to protect the fragile young seedlings.
