A high yielding variety, Jalapeno M Pepper has an average thickness as expected of jalapeno varieties, yet this variety features thick walls and has a spicy pungent aroma. These peppers grow to about 3-4 inches long. They are said to be a medium hot pepper; about 3500-5000 Scoville.

Start pepper seeds indoors 4-8 weeks before your last frost date. Alternatively, start pepper seeds in your greenhouse, on a seed heat mat. Transplant into your garden when the temperature is at least 60-65 degrees Fahrenheit. Ideal germination temperatures for these pepper seeds are 70-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
