400+ ‘Greek’ Oregano Seeds

Origanum vulgare hirtum

Greek Oregano grows like a perennial in zones 3-9 and can get up to 24 inches tall. This plant is a classic Mediterranean herb. Greek Oregano has savory, earthy flavors and minty aromas, making it excellent for a wide range of culinary and herbal uses. Greek Oregano is said to be one of the best oreganos for pairing with tomato-based sauces and dishes.

Transplanting is recommended for these seeds. Optimal germination temperature for oregano seed is 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Surface sow seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost date. The seeds are light germinators, so it’s important to not cover the seeds. Keep moist until germination. Transplant after your last frost date into well-draining sandy soil.
