De Cicco is an old Italian variety of broccoli known for being non-uniform in maturity and producing many medium-sized side shoots to accompany the 3-4” central head. This cultivar has extended harvest as more shoots grow after the central head is harvested. Of excellent quality and taste, this plant is great for the home gardener.
Seeds will germinate best if the soil is at least 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Alternatively, direct sow the seeds of this cool season crop into your garden in the early spring or late summer/early fall.
