American Purple Top Rutabaga have an orange flesh when cooked and a mild, sweet flavor. Each rutabaga adorns a purple crown of coloration on the top half of the root, while the bottom half is white to bright yellow. Best harvested after a few frosts, in the late fall or winter. An excellent fall crop, this variety is high yielding and delicious!

Sow from late spring to mid-summer for a fall harvest of this cool season crop. Ideal germination temperature is 45-85 degrees Fahrenheit.
